Each school has a specific number of scholariships each year. I believe it
is 18 per year. Each scholarship is renewed every year, but also each
scholarship may be divided up.

Each scholarship has a dollar value, depending on whether or not they are a
in-state, or out-of-state athlete.

Basically tuition, room and board, books are covered in a full scholarship.
Because of the out-of-state vs. in-state costs the scholarship is based
upon the individual athlete. A coach cannot take a $20,000 scholarship for
an out-of state athlete and use it for 2 in-state athletes whose tuition
may only be $10,000 each.

It is not uncommon for 12-14 guys to have full scholarships and 10 others
on partials.

For smaller schools you will notice that the majority of players come from
within the state, because tuition is lower.
