The fact is that Canadians are more interested in hockey than Americans,
even in Detroit.  This list is not anywhere near a random sample.  The
differing media coverage (live TV in very few places v nationally in
Canada) indicates this vast difference.  The location of the game
underscores this since there are a whole lot more people in Detroit and
area than across the border in Windsor.  Detroit, of course, is an area of
the US where hockey is more popular than it is elsewhere.
