 And the answer is no, they don't have
to sit out a year.  In a case like this (yes, there is a "folding
program" exception) the UIC players can transfer & play immediately.
 
I was under the impression there was a rule that required UIC to
continue the players' scholarships IF they decided to remain at UIC
-- but I can't find it in the book, so I'd guess the scholarships
can be withdrawn, per the NCAA's usual procedures.
