That's my poiunt. The folks at UMass-Lowell gave a damn. The fatheads running the UIC
program didn't. They had ample opportunity to can Pedrie. He hung arouond for 6 awful years.
If they were truly interested in establishing a top flight program we would be discussing
their demise right now.

I didn't mean to imply that they were mutually exclusive, but to a certain degree UIC was in
the way of other teams willing to make a commitment. Consider the threads of the last few
months concerning conferences, travel, etc. Where are new team going to play? How succesful
have independents been the last few years. Look what it took to get the Alaskan schools into
conferences.
 
A bad program died because of neglect. Let's move on and support someone who's willing to
make an honest effort.
