Well, the example that springs most readily to my mind is the
University of California, where UCLA and Cal Berkeley are both in the
Pac 10 (for football; I'm not sure about their club hockey teams :-)).
Of course, that's a strange case, since Berkeley is called "Cal" in
the sporting context and by its own students and "Berkeley" by
everyone else.
