The College Hockey Discussion List Poll for February 15, 1995:
Teams were given 15 points for a first-place vote, 14 for a second-place
vote, and so on down to 1 point for a fifteenth-place vote. Total first-
place votes are in parentheses.
Thanks to a tough weekend against Illinois-Chicago, Michigan drops from the
top spot they inherited two weeks ago, and Maine makes a return trip to #1.
Once again, the top four teams (Maine, Boston University, Michigan, and
Colorado College) garner almost all of the first- through fourth-place
votes, as they miss only two of a possible 104 votes (98.1%). The big
gainer this week was Clarkson, moving up three spots to #5, while Michigan
State went the other way, dropping three to wind up in the tenth spot.
Defending NC$$ champ Lake Superior also returns to the Top 15 for the first
time in eleven weeks.

YAM2 makes its debut in the ratings composite this week, bringing the total
number of ratings to five. I hope nobody comes up with another one, 'cause
I'm running out of room :-) Oddly enough (or maybe not so oddly), all five
ratings agree on who the top four teams are -- and even odder, they agree
with the media polls, though the ratings shuffle the order of those teams.
This is as good an indication as any that there is a sizable gap between
those four teams and the rest of college hockey.

Looking at the Tadpoll and Tad-rate, Minnesota easily takes the title of
most underrated team, since the Gophers are five spots lower in the Tadpoll
than the Tad-rate. The most over-rated team, oddly enough, appears to be
Lake Superior, #11 in the Tadpoll but not even making an appearance in Tad-
rate.
Tadpoll: Tad-rate:
1. Maine (3) 45 1. Michigan (2) 70
2. Boston University 42 Boston University (1) 70
