The Emory Eagles continued their winning ways against Georgia Tech
Tuesday night at the Parkaire Olympic Ice Arena in Marietta, Georgia,
taking a close 3-2 decision. It was the third straight win for the
Eagles over the Yellow Jackets including last spring's SCHA season finale
in which Emory beat Georgia Tech to take the league's final playoff
berth.
Leading the way for the Eagles was former Brown University forward Rod
Pritchard, who scored a goal and two assists to go with linemates Tom
Boyd (1-2-3) and Dave Holt (1-1-2). Holt put away the game winner with
5:23 remaining in the third period of a 2-2 tie when he took a beautiful
goal mouth feed from Boyd and tapped it home.
