Yes, the Wisconsin Badgers won the fist WCHA game against Duluth.
Score was 6 to 5. It was a similar game preceeding game of Friday night.
Give both teams credit for an excellent match-up.
SANDERSON for the UWM scores in 21 seconds witha rap around. 30 seconds
later Bulldogs score by ROY on a rebound from a 2-1 break. Bulldgos
score 2 more times in the 1st period. Second goal by Culic and then a
power play goal by fitzgerald. Bulldogs 3-1 on the Badgers.
2 period---Raygor ( a native of Superior) scores in 5 minutes for UWM. UWM
then rallies and scores 2 more goals. Score is now 4-3 UWM.
3 period---UWM's Williams scores in 7 seconds. Badgers 5-3. Bulldogs
come back and tie the game 5-5. Goals by ROY and Federenko. Then on a
power play goal by STROEBEL caps the victory for UWM. Scored with 3
minutes left of the game.
********Badgers WIN 6-5********
Badgers and the Bulldogs have already sold 13,000 tickets for an upcoming
event at the Bradley Center on Febuary 19th. The game will count as a
home game for the Bulldogs. If anyone is going send me a message We can
go out for a couple of cocktails before and after the game. Bulldog fans
are also welcome.
Everyone hum the "Bud song" and end it up with,"When you say Wisconsin,
you said it all!"
Next, Badgers take on University of Denver in Madison. Its going to a be
a tuff one for the Wisconsin Badgers.
