Following is information regarding a gay and lesbian hockey tournament
being held in Montreal on April 2-4, 1993. If you are not interested in
either ice hockey or gay-related events, or both, then there is no need
to read on.

[Note: this is being posted to HOCKEY-L by permission of the list
administrator, and by virtue of the fact that the event described below
could be quite fun and inspirational for those college hockey players
(or others associated-with/interested-in college hockey) who are gay,
lesbian, or bisexual. If you know of someone who may benefit from this,
please forward the information to them. Be sure to reply to
[log in to unmask], not to the entire list.]

The enclosed document is (almost) a verbatim transcription of the hardcopy
information package which was circulated recently. One of the coordinators
felt that announcing it over the network would reach more interested players,
referees, or fans.

For your own information, the following cities are sending teams: Montreal,
Toronto, Boston, Los Angeles, and Seattle. This message is to reach those
players who are not currently on one of the teams, but who want to
participate anyway, maybe forming another team(s).

If you are at all interested in playing in this tournament (you should
probably be gay, lesbian, or bisexual also), and have played ice hockey
before (the level will be somewhat competitive -- there are one or two
ex-NHL players on the Montreal teams), then please respond to me via
e-mail, not Usenet. Same goes if you are interested in officiating, which
will be a paid position. If you just want to go as a fan/friend, there is
a $15 charge for the banquet/party ticket.

Even if you are not interested in this particular tournament, but want to
stay updated on the International Gay Hockey League events, feel free to
reply. You may also pass this information on to someone you know who might
be interested.

Send responses to the International Gay Hockey League mail address, which
is either:

A rooming list would be appreciated as soon as possible for each group of
rooms and one person should be responsible for the group. The responsible
person should fax the rooming list at the following number: (514) 849-9855,
