Wisconsin beat CC tonight in the first game of the WCHA playoffs,
6-3, including an empty net goal with about 1:50 left.
 
The first period was slow, ending 2-1 Wisconsin. All three goals
were power play goals. In the second, things picked up a bit,
Wisconsin taking advantage of a power play and CC getting an even
strength goal to make it 3-2.
 
In the third, CC seemed to tire, and two quick goals in the
middle of the period gave the Badgers a lift. CC scored on a mess
in front of the net with less than 2 minutes left to make it 5-3.
Brad Buetow took his time out and pulled his goalie on the face
off, and Kelly Fairchild fought a tiger defender for the puck and
put it away immediatly.
 
Charlie Shub (cdash) is visiting from iowa (where he is visiting
from Colorado) and sat with us at the game and says hi.
