A typical CCHA battle, hard hitting and poorly officiated.  Michigan
and Lake Superior played even for 40:00 before Michigan came out and
dominated the 3rd, outshooting the Lakers 16-5.  I would actually say
that LSSU outplayed Michigan for the first 40:00, but the Wolverines
came through when it counted.
 
Michigan is now in the driver's seat for 2nd place in the CCHA, and
a quarterfinal bye (provided they get through the first round).
 
Michigan can also claim the state championship with a 10-3-1 record
and a victory over every other team in the state (LSSU, Mich State,
Western Mich, Ferris State, Northern Mich and Mich Tech).  :-)
