Unlike the CCHA & WCHA, which have teams play two-game weekend
series against rivals, the ECAC divides its 12 teams into
six pairs of travel partners. The current pairings, designed
with geographical location in mind, are RPI-Vermont, Harvard-
    Dartmouth, Brown-Yale, Colgate-Cornell, and Army-Princeton.
On a typical weekend, for example, Cornell will play at Harvard
the first night while Colgate plays at Dartmouth, then the next
night Colgate plays at Harvard and Cornell plays at Dartmouth.

It's just a different way of scheduling, made possible by the
fact that teams only play one away game and one home game
    against each opponent.
