It is 253 miles from Grand Forks to St. Cloud.  That is the *shortest*
drive from North Dakota to another D1 school.  It's 240 miles from
Madison to South Bend.  Same thing.  283 miles from Omaha to Mankato.
Ditto.

The problem in the west isn't that there are *some* schools that will be
a long haul from the regional site.  It's that, frequently, *all* of the
schools will be.  Picture Grand Forks next year if the Sioux don't make
the tournament.
