This seems so weird that I thought yo'ld all get a kick out of it.

Portland (OR) and Brandon (MB) are meeting in the WHL Finals. Portland is
the home seed.

It's best of seven, and Brandon is 2/3 of the way across the country. Games
1&2 are in Portland Sat and Sun. If they *split*, then game 3 will be in
Portland on Tues., and games 4-6 will be in Brandon (7 in Portland). If
either team sweeps the first two games, then games 3-5 will be in Brandon
and games 6-7 will be in Portland.

Format contingent on early game results? Weird.

College hockey content: Jean Marc Pelletier, late of Cornell, is currently
in net for Rimouksi, who leads Val d'Or 1-0 in the QMJHL final. The winners
of the WHL, OHL, and QMJHL tournies will join host (and auto bid) Spokane in
the championship of junior hockey, the Memorial Cup, in May.
