On April 19 and 20th .....Team Canada and Team USA will hold their World
Championship Training camp in Winnipeg, Maniotaba.....the camp will
feature 2 exhibition games between the two countries on the above dates....
a saturday night game and a sunday afternoon game.....Tickets go on sale
March 21th......
 
Team Canada is busy making out possible rosters for their club and I'm
sure the U.S. club is doing the same.....The rosters for the camp won't
be fianlized until the final NHL playoff spot are securred....
 
Team Canada will keep a few players off their national team roster....but
most of the spots will be filled by NHL players that don't make the
playoffs...
 
I was trying to gauge the U.S. clubs chances and how good a team they
will have.....They obviously won't be able to fill their roster with NHL
players and may look to college seniors and minor league players......
 
.....It looks like they will have solid Goaltending with probably Jim
Carrey because the Bruins aren't going to make the playoffs and maybe Guy
Hebert from the Ducks if Anaheim doesn't make it......maybe even a guy
like Brian Bonin would be invited....
 
....If anybody from Grand Forks or anywhere else close would like to
attend the 2 exhibition games tickets range from 29$ to 10$ and thats
Canadian money....the number for the box office....(select-a-seat) is
1-204-780-SEAT......
 
------I seen a standup comic talking about the difference between
prestige of Canadian and American money.....He said if you have American
money and you want to get a table at restaurant ahead of somebody and the
waitor has refused....you might hold out some cash and say "Maybe Mr.
Franklin will change your mind"......He went on to say "what do you do if
you have Candaian money"...."Maybe this Woodpecker will change your mind"
