According to Jeff Casello, the color man on the evenings broadcast, the
net was already off of its moorings, but with RPI on the rush, Tamburro
tried to cover it up in case RPI scored.  Only when Union started back the
other way did Tamburro continue to push it off its moorings to draw the
whistle.

I totally agree.  The Union crowd at Achilles is one of the most rowdy and
rambunctious group of individuals I have every seen at a game.  This provides
a great atmosphere, except for the oranges.  The only time I have ever
seen a Fieldhouse crowd like this is during Freakout.  But then again when
Union plays other teams besides RPI, it almost never seems like the crowd
is that into it.
