Pandolfo has had a terrific season for BU so far, notching 17 goals and 7
assists in the first 12 games. This type of production is no surprise to
Terrier fans, who watched Pandolfo post more than a point-per-game in his
first two seasons. Last year, Pandolfo missed over 20 games with assorted
injuries. A pulled stomach muscle sidelined him for the first 11 games,
and a lacerated hand in the Beanpot final kept him out of the final 6
regular season games. He wasn't completely healthy in the Hockey East or
NCAA playoffs, causing his production to fall a bit. Due to the
injury-riddled junior year, Pandolfo failed to gain any recognition for
preseason All-Hockey East or Hobey Baker consideration. With his early
production, however, it isn't unusual to begin hearing his name mentioned
for post-season awards. Pandolfo says he has not begun to think about
honors and awards, and Jack Parker says that when players begin to think
about such accolades, their production tends to drop. You can bet that
Parker will keep Pandolfo's mind focused on the ice. Even more
interesting is that Pandolfo is BU's captain, and he has had to keep the
team together through the difficult Travis Roy ordeal. Pandolfo's critics
didn't feel he was vocal enough to lead a team off the ice, but he has
silenced those criticisms.

Also, note that Pandolfo is NOT BU's leading scorer. Chris Drury has 10
goals and 15 assists, playing on the top line with Pandolfo. The
sophomore has not gotten any discussion on this list or elsewhere.
