I agree with those who praise the ECAC playoff system with only one reservation
.  Why are the quarterfinal series played as the first team to gain 3 points, i
nstead of the best of 3 games?  Ending a series on a tie seems pretty cheesy.
I'd much rather see games played until there is a winner (unlimited overtime),
and then award the series to the first team who wins two games.
