Jason Reid was taken off the ice with a fractured vertabra if I remember
correctly.  It's even more unfortunate than it seems because he was
recovering from a broken wrist at the start of the season and then mono
this semester.  There was a question about whether to red shirt him but
they decided to play part of the season and now he's expected to miss all
of next season too (again, if I remember the article correctly).
 
He's considered the top recruit of this year's freshman class.
