Bowling Green beat the Nanooks of Alaska Fairbanks 6-1 in tonights game
at the BG Ice Arena.Scoring for the Falcons were Brett Punchard(2),Brian
Holzinger,Curtis Fry,Tom Glantz,and Kelly Perrault.
Once again,BG played better on UAF's power play than the Nanooks did as
the Falcons scored 2 shorthanded goals tonight to go along with the 3
shorthanded goals they scored last night. In the 2 game series,BG scored 5
shorthanded goals while the Nanooks only scored once with the man
advantage.
I don't know who scored UAF's goal, but I'm sure someone will have the
box score posted.
Holzinger had 3 goals and 3 assists on the weekend moving his total to
31 goals and 31 assists for 62 points on the season.
I would also like to thank(sarcastically)the Nanooks for bringing along
with them the terrible winter weather that they are so used to back in
Fairbanks. The windchill was around -30 degrees!!The people of BG welcomed
the Nanook players, but I think we could have done without the cold!!!!

  Holzinger for Hobey Baker!!!
