Some notes from Joe Carr's pregame broadcast:
 
-> Maine forward Wayne Conlan returned to the lineup tonight after missing
18 games with a knee injury.
-> Maine's power-play was #1 in the country entering tonights game.  Ranking
second is Michigan State, and Michigan is third.  No Maine team has ever
finished #1 in power-play in the country.
-> Maine forward Jeff Tory is 3rd in the nation in scoring by defensemen.
Tory is in his first year of hockey for Maine, even though he is a junior.
-> Wanna see Paul Kariya?  Sunday night at 8pm on ESPN the Ducks will be
playing the L.A. Kings.  It ought to be fun to see Paul.  One California
reporter said that Paul has improved greatly since college! Hard to believe,
but tune in and find out!
