I get scared when I hear Mike mention "taking away the championship".
I like my ring.

Actually, I don't think there is a rule regarding when a player has to
sit out his ineligible years (other than Prop 48). For example,Jeff
Tory (remember him?) will play this year, and probably next, but will
not be able to play after that because the NC$$ revoked a year for
his infraction last year.

I don't have a copy of the NC$$ manual (I imagine it is about the size
of the Clinton's proposed Health Care Plan :->) but is there a
specific rule regarding the year that is lost for playing Junior A
Hockey? Does it have to be first, second, or can the player choose,
as Jeff Tory is?

The reason Larry Mahoney knew this was about to happen is that it was
discovered 11 days ago, but wasn't released until yesterday, according
to WCSH-TV in Portland. Besides, it doesn't take Nostradamus to
predict someone at UM is going to be declared ineligible anymore.
*sigh*
