Former Mass-Lowell player Craig MacTavish will not be
coaching the Edmonton Oilers in 1994-95, as reported by
a New York paper [and repeated by me on H-L].
 
MacTavish has signed a two-year player contract with
the Philadelphia Flyers worth approximately $800,000
per season.  Hence, the NHL should have a helmet-less
player through 1995-96.
