I agree with Erik and Mike that the idea of shoot-outs to decide
tied games is a horrible idea.  What is the matter with a tie during
the regular season?  I imagine that some people who run the league
feel that shoot-outs will add more excitement.  IMHO it simply turns
the sport into a sideshow with little relevance to team aspect which
is the real beauty of hockey.
 
Otto, prepare to get an earful from upset fans.
