Welcome back to all those who made the pilgrimage to Albany.
I hope your e-mail boxes weren't overflowing *too* much upon
your return!

I will contain my emotions about recent events until a future
time. Congratulations to LSSU and their fans.

Seeing as I have already received private e-mail about this
topic, I want to get this message out to the list before too many
people sign off for the hockey-dormant months of the year.

* * * * * * * * * *

I would like to offer my services as a local operative for next
year's HOCKEY-L migration to the NC** Championships on April 1st
and 3rd. Since they will be held in Milwaukee's hockey
showplace, the Bradley Center, I'm sure that a great time will
be had by all, regardless. However, if we can get some creative
ideas flowing *now*, we could make MKE'93 a truly excellent
adventure! I'll carry out (or delegate) any local footwork that
needs to be done to bring things off.

Possibilities already suggested include:
+ trying to arrange for all hockey-l tickets to be in the same
section (for every one except Carol White, at least until
she apologizes for rooting against the Badgers :-)
+ getting a block of rooms at a hotel near the Bradley Center
  for hockey-l out-of-towners
+ various gatherings outside the friendly confines to sample
  the local "atmosphere"

Furthermore, we'll also need suggestions from folks on how to
make arrangements with the Bradley Center, hotels and
restaurants. Since tickets go on sale in the near future, we
should get things rolling soon. What have local folks done when
the NC** has come to *your* town? What has worked? What
hasn't? What would you do differently? What opportunities
shouldn't be missed?

For the immediate future, I propose that anyone with ideas
send them to me in private e-mail, unless you feel the content
is of immediate interest to the list at large. I'll summarize
every few days or so, at least until the *flood* of responses
dies down a bit :-).

Also, if there are any other HOCKEY-L folks in the Milwaukee
area who would like to help out on the local end, e-mail or
snail-mail me, or give me a ring at home on most evenings.

Looking forward to a great '92-'93 college hockey season and
an ECAC-ref-free Phinal Phour (Oops! Dang, that one just
slipped out! Really!!)
