I recently noticed that two former Hobey Baker winners, Chris Marinucci and
Brian Bonin were among the top scorers in the IHL and AHL respectively.
Similarly Tony Hrkac and Kip Miller are among the greatest players to never
make an impact in the NHL. Hrkac was recently called up to the NHL, and
traded to Edmonton where he scored about a dozen goals in 15 games.
With exception, Canadian Paul Kariya, Holzinger, it seems there is subtle
lack of NHL opportunity extended to Hobey winner. Is there a conspiracy
against Hobey Baker winners?
