T.C. Harris is coming to Lowell.
B.C. gets Gionta, Lowell gets Korzen
Riverhawks also get GHJHL league MVP and another skater from
Salisbury.

Its official, T.C. Harris is coming to Lowell this fall. The flashy, playmaker
from Matignon H.S. in Cambridge, Mass. will try out his talents in
HockeyEast. He led Matignon into the Elite-8 Tourney last year, tallying
24g and 23a in 20 games, scoring his 200th career point in his last
regular season game at Matignon. T.C. is a very sleek-skating hustler
who could develope into a Chris Drury/Mike Sylvia style of player.

Lowell also has picked up Andrew Korzen (6'0", 190), a left-shot center
from the Niagara Scenics(MTJHL). Korzen was Nigara's second-leading
scorer (to Gionta) with 99pts. in 46 games. He was born in 11/79 and
comes from Lancaster, New York.

Brad Rooney (6'2", 200lbs.) from St. Catherines, Ontario will be suiting up
for Lowell this year. Rooney was the league MVP in the GHJHL last year
and was one of three finalists for the All-Ontario Junior Player of the
Year. In 41 games, Rooney tallied 101 pts.

Previous reports show Salisbury star Kyle Kidney will be joining Lowell.
Now we hear that teamate Jason Savageau will be coming aboard. A
right-shot defenseman, Savageau is from Manchester, N.H. and was
born in 5/78.

Well, this recruiting class is larger than expected. Earlier signees Nick
Carso, Kyle Kidney, Jeff Boulanger and Jeremy Kyte bring the class size
to eight. So, I guess its only natural to lose someone. One of last year's
most promising freshmen was Mario Leblanc. Leblanc is going to play a
year fro the Green Bay Gamblers and will return to Lowell the following
year. Mario's 2g and 3a placed him around 6th on the Lowell freshmen
scoring chart and a year in the USHL should help to further develope his
obvious potential. A bit inconsistent the first half of last year, Leblanc
appeared to bring a more solid two-way game to the ice during the
second half. Hopefully, he'll continue to develope the two-way skills
needed to play in HockeyEast.

I read in the Boston Globe that the city of Lowell is planning on opening
the new rink in December, so it appears the Riverhawks may have to
start the season in the Tully Forum.
