The College Hockey Discussion List Poll for December 4, 1991:

Teams were given 15 points for a first-place vote, 14 for a second-place
vote, and so on down to 1 point for a fifteenth-place vote. Total first-
place votes are in parentheses.

Brian Farenell and other Golden Knight fans will be happy to note that,
unlike in the WMPL poll, Clarkson has moved up to #3 in the HOCKEY-L
rankings, off their win over New Hampshire. The UAA Sea Wolves were also
on the move, jumping six places.

The only media poll I've seen this week was the WMPL poll posted by Erik,
and here's how the HOCKEY-L poll compares to that one and to this week's
TCHCR:

                                 HOCKEY-L WMPL TCHCR
     Team Record Rank Rank Rank

     Maine (14) 9-1 1 1 7
     Michigan (2) 8-1-2 2 2 1
     Clarkson 8-1 3 4 2
     Lake Superior 10-3 4 5 6
     Minnesota 10-4 5 3 5
     New Hampshire (1) 8-2 6 7 8
     Northern Michigan 8-4-2 7 6 12
     Michigan State 5-2-2 8 8 4
     Alaska-Anchorage 9-2 9 9
     Providence 9-3 10 9 15
     Western Michigan 6-3-1 11 10
     Boston University 6-3 12 14
     St. Lawrence 5-3-1 13 9 13
     Yale 4-0-1 14 3
     Wisconsin 7-6-1 15 17

Since Alaska-Anchorage is an independent (and located up in Alaska to boot),
it'll probably take the media polls quite some time to catch on to how good
they are.
