Lee Roy, Travis' father, was interviewed live from Atlanta on Sunday
night's Sports Final on Boston's WBZ, Channel 4. It was a lengthy
interview for live TV, lasting close to 8 minutes. Bob Lobel, the WBZ
sports anchor, asked Lee about Travis' transfer to Atlanta, how it
affected him, how he is doing, his scheduled release date, and the
upcoming press conference.

Lee said that since the transfer to Atlanta, Travis is feeling very
good about himself, and is doing well. He also repeated that the
tentative release date for Travis to leave the Shepherd Center is 11
April.

Bob Lobel also asked how Travis was taking being separated from his
Terrier teammates. Lee said that while Travis missed his teammates, it
was also good for him to be away from them. In Atlanta he can
concentrate on his rehabilitation, instead of wanting to be with his
teammates, in the lockerroom and on the ice.

Lee mentioned that Jack Parker had flown down to Atlanta on Sunday and
had spent close to seven hours with Travis. Jack brought Travis a tape
made by the team, which Matt Wright MCed in the BU lockerroom, and the
players gave Travis get well wishes and other statements.

The biggest news is that Travis and his family are planning on having
a press conference next Tuesday, 12 March, when Travis will speak to
the press and public for the first time since his injury. Lee also
mentioned that there would likely be a short question and answer
session with Travis after the press conference. Finally, Lee mentioned
that the family hoped a press pool reporter and cameraman would be
able to follow Travis around during his daily routine, a day or two
before the press conference. That would then be made available to all
the media at the press conference.
