Cullen did get an offer from the Gophers (don't know what it was).
He turned it down fairly quickly, as he didn't want to go to the U
(unlike many Minnesota rink rats, it was never his driving ambition
to attend the U and play for the Gophers).  His final choice was
between North Dakota, Duluth, and St. Cloud.
