I can't speak to their creation, but at NCAA selection time all teams
are obviously not equal. That's why they had/have this thing called
the Rating Percentage Index. Maybe you've heard of it? I didn't
take time to work through all of the criteria (obviously Brown would
have a 2-0 head-to-head advantage), but at the time of selection
Vermont (#14) was ahead of Brown (#17) in the RPI. In fact, so was
Princeton (#15), another ECAC club.

Nothing personal against Luiz, but I have a pet peeve with people
*who know how it's done* complaining about past NCAA selections.
Crunch the numbers, Luiz. If Brown is ahead of Vermont, Princeton
and any other ECAC team within .01 of Vermont based on the 1995
NCAA criteria, then ask your reliable sources for an explanation. You
may have something. However, your paragraph above simply sounds
like sour grapes. (And don't feel as if you're all alone, everyone has
sour grapes about something, sometime, somewhere. I just think this
example can be objectively explained...at least objectively researched.)

Who was knocked on his gluteus maximus (sp?) by a fellow Hockey-Ler
(who shall remain nameless) at an open skate last night. His version
is that I was going down anyway, he just helped the process. My
version is that I had everything in control until he intentionally cross
checked me (minus the stick). True story. :-)
