Actually, due to John Whelan's organizational efforts, a few of us watched
Empire's broadcast of the ECACs at Monty's sports bar here in Santa Barbara.
After reading a number of comments on this list I was prepared to see really
atrocious coverage. However, we thought it was just fine. (Our pleasure
couldn't have been affected by the fact our group only included grads from
RPI, Princeton, and Cornell, could it?)
 
Now mind you, the background noise from the other TVs showing NC$$ b-ball and
a host of St. Paddy's Day revelers made it impossible to hear most of the
commentary anyway, so we weren't particularly aware of the lack of Lake
Placid crowd noise, or of the Clarkson/Colgate confusion, or of anyone's
French accent. So maybe Dick should trash his cable connection again and find
a local friendly tavern! :-)
