I watched the Montreal-Buffalo game Saturday night. What a pathetic game.
Besides the fact that any of the better college teams could have played better,
the end was quite disgusting. With about two minutes left and Montreal ahead,
5-1, Buffalo coach, Rick Dudley put out his goons Hartman and Ray. Pat Burns
of Montreal had removed goalie Patrick Roy to avoid anything happening to Roy.
Burns also put out two tougher guys. And as expected, a totally unnecessary
fight ensued. Hartman and Ray were involved, but the fight was instigated by
a Canadien beating on Ray. After watching this "game", I was glad that the
college game has gotten rid of the goons and fighting. It makes the game a
lot more fun to watch. No players like Ruuttoo going around and butt-ending
players. The college game is clean fair and a pleasure to watch, it doesn't
deteriorate into some pathetic brawl. As an example, U. Mich was beaten
big by BU in both of the NCAA quaterfinal games, however, none of this
childish behavior was exhibitted. Michigan at least left with their pride
and respect.

Hey mike! It's Boston and Montreal again. The series stands at: Montreal 21,
Boston 4.
