What coach Walsh did against BU was pretty discusting, obviously he told
Cal Ingraham to jump off the Maine bench and interfere with a BU 2 on 1
breakout. The other Maine player was not even on the blue line. A
sensible NCAA official would have called a penalty shot. Then Walsh put
an extra man on what should have been a BU 5 on 4. My question to that
is shouldn't the referee immediately blow the whistle when he saw that
Walsh threw another Maine attacker on the ice or does the referee have
to wait until the puck is dropped and Maine touches. If the official has
to wait until the team touches that would be a loophole in the rules
that should be corrected. This just proves once again what Coach Walsh
will do for a victory, I just wonder about all the other controversies
that Maine has found it's hockey program in this season, is that related
to Walsh's win at all costs approach. Everybody remembers the Tory
situation and the games with Providence. It was Walsh that got the blame
and was suspended for a few games earlier this season.
