There are generally two records that are recognized.

The modern record is held by RPI, 38 games (36-0-2) from 1984-85 through
1985-86. According to the RPI media guide, this streak began on 11/24/84
with an 8-2 win over North Dakota, and it ended on 11/22/85 with an 8-5
loss to Yale.

RPI was unbeaten in its last 33 games in 1984-85 (32-0-1), and I believe
this is the longest unbeaten streak by any team within a single season.

The all-time record is held by Dartmouth, 46 games (45-0-1) from 1941-42
through 1945-46. According to the Dartmouth media guide, this streak began
on 12/23/41 with a 5-4 OT win over Illinois, and it ended on 1/5/46 with a
6-4 loss to Yale.

As Deron mentioned, Maine came closer than any team to tying the RPI
records with a 32 game unbeaten streak (30-0-2) in 1992-93.

CC is currently 14-0-3, giving them a streak of 17 games. They lost their
final game last season in the NCAA West Regional to Minnesota, 5-2. To tie
RPI's 33 game single season streak, CC would have to go unbeaten through
2/17/96.

Here is CC's remaining schedule. They will play a total of 35 regular
season games this year.
