According to the CCHA Official game report and contrary to the report by Brad
Carlson, John Madden was assessed a game misconduct penalty and not a game
disqualification. Madden will still be to dress for Thursday's game against
Michigan.

I've been looking forward to the Michigan Maine rematch ever since it was
announced. Then came the news that Brendan Morrison going to be out due
to a knee injury. That's a big loss but Michigan has a deep team. Then
Matt Herr gets a DQ Saturday at Western. Now I am starting to worry.
Then I pick up the paper this morning and find out that John Madden got a
game DQ at the end of the Western game Saturday. That was it no other
penalties. Now I am deeply concerned. Unless Freshman Justin Clark is
recovered Michigan will have to dress two walk-ons. Nothing against
walk-ons but they're not exactly who you want on the ice when you are
going up against the #2 team in the country. Back to Madden, does anyone
know what the DQ was for? The newspaper I read the article in had no
idea as to what the penalty for.
