According to this weekend's Cornell hockey game program, the
referee for tonight's Cornell-Princeton game is scheduled to
be Frank Cole. Cole has been a Hockey East official for many
years, and according to Mike Machnik account, refereed last
night's Merrimack game. I know some Hockey East linesmen
have officiated ECAC games occasionally (Gravallese, Taylor
and Scleparis come to mind), but this is the first time I've
heard of a HE referee doing an ECAC game. Is this a new
trend?
