No. The original post does not say hostile towards him but "hostile ...
everytime the Gophers have travelled up to the DECC." Sauer is a defenseman
from St.Cloud playing for Duluth, and Doman is a St. Cloud native playing for
Wisconsin. Both were cheered by the Huskie fans when their team visited, but
if either were a Goppher they would have been welcomed by a rousing chorus of
booooos. Minnesota gets all 5 Mr. Hockey (top high school players in state)
finalists and it makes people mad when the richest get richer. This sentiment
is even stronger lately since it is obvious that the local player is going to
rot under Woog's system. People would prefer they stay home, improve as a
player and individual, and help the local team (probably more than the amount
by which they will help the Gophers). Imagine the difficulty I have giving my
son an honest answetr to the question "Dad, will you still root for me if I
play for the Gophers?" After I pick him up off the ground I say "Sure, Woog
will be long gone by then."
