Thanks to colleagues that just returned from the CUMREC '93
conference in San Antonio, I now have a copy of the schedule for
the U.S. Olympic Festival '93.  Festivities will be in San Antonio
from July 23 (Fri) through August 1 (Sun).
 
A series ticket for the 10 hockey matches is $45.00.  This includes
two matches between the USA Women's National Team and the Canadian
National Team.  Individual matches are $8.00 (except Bronze and Gold
that are $10 each.)  The Alamodome is a brand new facility.  A recent
article in the Wall Street Journal indicated that the facility
could accomodate two ice rinks.
 
Other sports represented at this year's festival include: archery,
track & field, badminton, baseball, basketball, bowling, boxing,
canoe(kayak sprint, kayak whitewater), cycling(time trials, criterium,
road race), diving, equestrian, fencing, FIELD hockey, figure skating,
gymnastics(artistic, rhymthmic), ICE hockey, judo, modern pentathlon,
racquetball, roller skating, rowing, sailing, shooting, soccer,
softball, speedskating, swimming, synchronized swimming, table tennis,
taekwondo, team handball, tennis, volleyball, water polo, weightlifting,
and wrestling.
