Plattsburgh was forced to vacate their 1987 national championship
for using ineligible players. This was one of the things that supposedly
led to Hoar leaving the position there. He resurfaced at Tufts this
season.
 
PBurgh did win an "official" D-III national championship in 1992 under a
different coach (Bob Emery).
