Just a nit-picky point, but I believe one that might make the casual
college hockey fan (or the frustrated NHL fan looking for any type of
hockey) a bit confused and perplexed (turned off?) is the way the AP
apparently releases scores (or is it HE, Mike M?). The only info I get
about college hockey except for this wonderful network, is the LA Times.
Sunday's sports pages (printing the AP line, I am sure) reported:

Boston U. 5, Maine 5, tie (Boston wins 2-1 in a shootout)

Shouldn't the word "tie" be left out of this type of listing. Yes, I know
that according to the NCAA it is a tie, according to HE it is a SOW, but
this is score reporting.... just say BU 5, Maine 5 (BU wins shootout), no?

To make it even more confusing to the non-diehard college hockey fan,
there are other scores, e.g Cornell 2, Yale 2, tie!!

So for the casual person who might be interested, theymight be wondering,
why are some a shootout, some not? Is it a tie, or not?

Can we get a better way of reporting the scores, or am I out to lunch (as
usual?)..... :-)
