Tommorow evening in Canton sees another edition of the Route 11
rivalry. Clarkson and St. Lawrence will battle each other for the
142nd time in one of the nation's oldest rivalries (dating back to
1925-26).

Clarkson enters the game coming off a tough 3-2 road loss to UNH. The
Golden Knights missed the services of defenseman Brian Mueller, who
was out with a shoulder injury but is expected back for this game.
One positive out of the UNH game was probably the best performance on
the year by freshman netminder Dan Murphy. Murphy was outstanding,
partiularly in the 2nd period, and kept the game close by making 37
saves. The loss snapped Clarkson's 3 game winning streak, during which
they scored 26 times and gave up only 7 goals.

SLU enters the game with a bit of momentum. After struggling early,
the Saints skaters came alive recently pulling off a big 5-1 drubbing
of Miami and a tie with defending national champion Lake Superior St.

Clarkson enters the game at 2-1-1 in the ECAC and 5-3-2 overall.
Can't tell you for sure what SLU's record is.

All-time series: Clarkson leads the all-time series, 89-46-6.
Clarkson has won the last 6 meetings between the teams. Clarkson has
also outscored SLU in the series by 697-505. Clarkson coach Mark
Morris is 12-5 in his tenure against SLU while Saints coach Joe Marsh
is 10-17 against the Golden Knights.

The two teams will also meet again next Saturday in Potsdam.

Let's Go Tech!
