Sorry if the wasted bandwidth annoys anyone but I
couldn't resist ----

Clearly Maine is on top using either system, once again proving that
a black bear sits anywhere he wants. PC vaulted up in the standings
on a league ruling that although friars, minutemen, and warriors were
all presumed to be human, all testimony from anyone who had ever seen
a friar indicated that they were much larger than other humans. It was
rumored that Merrimack might appeal their ranking to the NCAA. However
the basis for it according to Hockey East was that the Warriors referred
to must be from classical antiquity and not a disparaging reference
to native peoples. This would clearly make them smaller than late
Eighteenth Century Non-Native People (an apparently acceptable
construct.) Inside sources pointed out that when MC heard this they
feared that an appeal would result in an unhappy outcome like that
suffered by hapless UML which was thrown into 8th due to their change
in mascot (coincidentally had they been allowed to keep Chiefs, they
would have had the same ranking as from the now-discredited "game-based"
scale.)
Jackie Parker declined comment, but an unnamed source indicated that
BU's world class science departments had been asked to breed a Boston
Terrier larger than any conceivable Black Bear.
