No, it doesn't. The regulations only state that a PASS grade may not be
included in a GPA calculation. That's not the same thing. Bear in mind that
eligibility essentially revolves around two concepts: satisfactory progress
and good academic standing. The former says the student-athlete must earn a
minimum number of credit hours each year (which could include credits earned
with a PASS grade); the latter concerns maintaining a minimum grade point
average. While many schools accept PASS grades for credit, I know of no
reputable school that would include a PASS grade in a GPA calculation.
Additionally, many schools will NOT accept for transfer credit a course which
shows a PASS grade.
