The University of New Hampshire Wildcats did tonight what no other
team has done before - keep Paul Kariya off the score sheet. But it
didn't matter as Maine outlasted a tough New Hampshire defense by
a 5-2 score to post a team record 35th win of the season.

The Wildcats kept the Black Bears in check most of the night, until
the Bears erupted for three unanswered goals in the third period.
At one point during the second period New Hampshire had Maine
outshot for the game, 15-11.

Notes

* Cal Ingraham notched a new team record 40th goal at the 8:28 mark
  in the third period.

* Paul Kariya was whistled for only the fourth time this season,
for interference, in the second period.
