The paid attendance was 4,227, the actual was around 1,900. Coach
Sertich came up to a couple of us (ushers, that is), and asked if we
could carry an extra puck around, so that when UMD needed one to play
with, we could throw it out on to the ice for them. If only Sertich
would have been joking. The Swedes pretty much controlled the game from
start to finish. The Dogs were lucky to only be down by one at the end
of the first.
Minnesota Duluth travels to meet Colorado College next weekend to face
the Tigers in their first WCHA action after the holiday break. We can
only hope things go better than they did yesterday.
