Total domination by the ENgineers tonight at the Fieldhouse.
9-1 final, as 3 players had 2 goalls each (Hamelin, Brick, Ricahrdson).
3 pllayers had 4 points (Pasco 1-3-4, Clarke 1-3-4, and Richardson 2-2-4)
and the Engineers speed killed the Big Red. Not a pretty sight for them
tonight.
Now I think this is the way it goes.
Going into tonight:
@Harvard 34
#Clarkson 28
#Brown 27
#RPI 26
&Vermont 24
%Colgate 22
%Union 21
%Cornell 19
%St. Lawrence 16
%Princeton 14
Yale 11
Dartmouth 9
@ = Clinched Regular Season Title
# = Clinched Home Ice for Quaterfinals
& = Clinched their position in standings
% = Clinched playoff spot
Scenarios:
1) Whoever wins Clarkson-Brown, finishes 2nd.
Loser finishes 4th if RPI beats Colgate.
If they tie, Clarkson 2nd, Brown 3rd, RPI 4th
2) If RPI wins, they are 3rd if Clarkson or Brown lose.
If RPI loses, they are 4th.
3) Vermont has clinched 5th.
4) If COlgate wins, they are 6th.
If Colgate loses, and Union wins, Union is 6th, Colgate is 7th.
5) If Cornell beats Union, it comes down to goals for the tiebreaker.
6) St. Lawrence wins, they are 9th, or if Princeton loses.
Have no clue what happens in a tie.
I think these are all right. Interesting possibilities:
Union-RPI in quaters.....
Clarkson-Vermont in quarters.....
Tough fight to the end though.
Some notes on tomight's action:
1) How about Union?! 8 straight unbeaten?
2) St. Lawrence pounds Brown. Huh?
3) Yale in total domination over Dartmouth?
Interesting weekend. Let's see what happens next!
