NCAA Division I poll, as reported in the Star Tribune of Minneapolis 3/17/92:
1 Maine (4) 60
2 Michigan 55
3 Minnesota 53
4 Lake Superior 48
5 Michigan State 44
6 Wisconsin 40
7 St Lawrence 33
8 Northern Michigan 30
9 Boston University 29
10 New Hampshire 28
11 Alaska-Anchorage 19
12 Clarkson 16
13 Providence 11
14 Miami 5
15 Colorado College 4
Harvard 4
-----
This must be the final poll of the year, as the seedings will be announced
next Sunday. Presuming that the committee won't change its mind during the
week, it's easy to project the eastern seedings as:
1 Maine
2 St Lawrence
3 Boston University
4 New Hampshire
5 Clarkson
6 Alaska-Anchorage
Note that BU and UNH are separated by only one point in the poll, so they
could possibly exchange positions in the seedings. I am presuming that
Alaska-Anchorage will be seeded #7W, thereby taking the #6E position in the
regionals. Providence appears to be out unless Northern Michigan loses
twice in the WCHA tournament; even then their chances don't look very good.
