Two words describe this whole game: Matt Barnes. The game was played
practically in the Western end the whole game. Western had a terrible time
breaking out of their zone, but MSU kept firing shots right into Barnes. He
was never caught out of position except for the goal, which was on a
breakaway. Every MSU shot went into his chest.
Speaking of goalies, Joe Blackburn did not impress me at all. He wasn't
tested all night, and he loves to go paddle-down on everything, all the
Western players had to do was go top-shelf and they would of had a huge win.
Other than that, Mike York is the mother-freakin man, and I hope Barnes
plays well all year, because he was in a terrible slump last year, and I
knew he could play better than that.
