Early in December there was a feature story in the Minneapolis paper on
the Minnesota Gopher's Tommy Nevers, a local high school star who is
also currently playing professional baseball in the minor leagues and
now has enrolled at Minnesota to try hockey once again. The article
went on to quote Coach Doug Woog as saying that Tommy was one of his
best kept secrets.
I am out in California now for school and have not heard much news about
how the "oldie gopher" has performed. Would enjoy your thoughts on
having 24 year old freshman playing in the college hockey ranks as well
as any statisics on Tommy and other hockey scouting reports on him
